As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we have a long living room.  When you walk in from the entryway, you turn to the right, and there it is.  Stretching out in front of you.  I was noticing before I changed the wall paint color, and I was working on a ceiling color, that there is a lot of ceiling to be seen in this room.  It kept jumping out at me, and let’s face it, my ceiling is snoozeville.  So the wheels began turning, and my hubby came up with the idea to add molding to make it more interesting.  Yes, he is a stud.

Of course, I had to gather some inspiration images, and though there are some fancier shapes and designs in here, I think the photos with simple crown molding added to the ceiling are really striking.  See for yourself…

Love the design of this one, very Greek key-esque.  I actually may consider this pattern for my girls room.

The ceiling is black in there like the picture below, so I think the white trim would really pop.
