23 Jan Leavin’ On a Jet Plane
Actually, I’ve left already.
I’m in the air thousands of miles above you (unless you’re in an airplane too) typing this post en route to Utah.
It is actually a bit difficult to type since the guy in front of me keeps jamming his seat further back and further back. Hey buddy, do you think I am preventing your seat from going back any further? Your head is nearly in my lap! Not to mention the fact your seat back is jammed into my knees.
I digress…why am I going to Utah?
Yup, it’s the BIG Altitude Design Summit conference! Remember when I went to Alt in New York and Martha (yes, THE Martha…as in Stewart) was there?! If you missed it, you can read all about it here and here and here. Well, that was just a mini version of this jam packed bloggers extravaganza. Basically, I am going to learn how to make this blog better for you guys, and to connect with people who know way more than I do about making this little blog more beautiful and more beneficial for you, my lovely readers.
I have to admit, I’m not even there yet, and I miss my little blonde-headed crew. But I am super excited about the conference and all that is in store. Plus the Sundance Film Festival is happening right now in Salt Lake so that is an added bonus.
I did break my long tradition of traveling with one bag. I actually checked one. Since I am not normally a fashionista, this usually works, but because I have to think about what I look like and am wearing four days in a row, I had to pack options.
I’ve never been to Utah, and I hear it is beautiful, but I am a bit troubled by the weather there right now. 15 degrees. And you know how I feel about cold. Actually, you may not. But I don’t like it. Not one bit. Bring on 100 degrees any day of the week! Of course, it was a lovely sixty-five degrees when I left Texas. Texas, I love you.
See you back here tomorrow!
P.S. I tweet like crazy at these deals! Keep updated with all that is happening by following me on Twitter @AStoriedStyle. Also, follow me on Instagram @astoriedstyle to see all of the great and wonderful things I’m seeing!
