11 Apr Gray, White, & Gold Nursery Design
I know a lot of you love my client projects, and this one is going to be a great one! It has been a while since I published any of my design work, though I am hoping to remedy that in the next few months and get everything completed and photographed. The inspiration board above belongs to a couple I have been working with the past year. They are simply lovely (I’ve been so lucky to have such kind, gracious clients these past few years!), and they are now expecting their first baby. You will see more of their home in the future, but I will be sharing their completed nursery in May here and on the Pottery Barn Kids blog. Because this couple decided not to find out the sex of their baby, we went with a really neutral scheme and will add a few girly or boy-y items after the baby is born. (I cannot wait to find out!!)
The nursery is a good mix of modern and traditional, with the gray, white, and gold color scheme. I’m super excited about the striped gold ceiling, using my DIY Acrylic Rods With Plumbing Hardware, the gorgeous bedding, and just seeing all of the elements come together to create a nursery that will be filled with lots of great moments.
Baby Fitz,
We can’t wait to meet you! You will have a stylin’ nursery, that’s for sure. Not to mention your parents are the sweetest, and they love you so much already. We are working hard to create a nursery that is fun, creative, and inspiring for you, a room you can grow in. Please stay in until your due date so we can get it all done! xo
Many thanks to Pottery Barn Kids for sponsoring this nursery.

Posted at 10:04h, 11 AprilA gold striped ceiling! Are you kidding me? I want that now in every room in my house.

Posted at 11:45h, 15 AprilNatalie, HA! You made me laugh out loud. But I totally agree. 🙂 I think it will be great. The couple doesn’t know if they will live in this house for too many more years, so they were a little wary of something like real wallpaper. Therefore, the ceiling will be striped with gold contact paper. I think it will look great, plus it will peel right off when needed. Win win. 🙂 G
