16 Jan Don’t Throw Away Your Scraps
I have recently finished a mini revamp of my dining room (almost there, then the reveal!), and I had some leftover scraps of some fabric I used. You may recognize it – it is the same as my dining room wallpaper, Cole & Son “Hummingbirds” in Ruban, a gorgeous pale, aqua blue.
Using the small squares and leftover creamy white linen from my settee makeover, my yellow sofa got three new pillows. (here’s the story on how my yellow sofa came to be if you missed it – it’s a good one) Each pillow is a different snapshot of the lovely scenes in my wallpaper.
I’m loving how they tie the dining room and the living room together! (these rooms are joined by the original 1921 french doors)
Lesson of the Day: Don’t throw away your scraps. They can make pretty centers for pillows, special hems for dishtowels, or even ribbon for gifts! (of course, this explains my fabric cabinet, but hey, I use it!)
