26 Jun A Cute, Simple Front Porch
While taking a Saturday drive through our old neighborhood last weekend, I suddenly exclaimed, “Stop! Pull over!”. My husband (well rehearsed in this sort of thing) pretty much knew immediately why. I saw this adorable front porch and knew I needed to take a closer look.
This neighborhood is pretty in general, but this color palette caught my eye.
I quickly exited the car, and knocked on the front door to ask permission to take pictures of these nice people’s front porch. No, I don’t know them, but the husband graciously told me his wife and her mother were the brains behind this beauty. He also told me he didn’t mind me taking photos. Super nice.
What makes this space so appealing is how simple it is – it’s not trying too hard, and it still makes an impact.
The sky blue tolix chairs and burlap waterfall tablecloth look so great together.
Not to mention the orangey red color of the front door – such a vibrant pop!
I actually missed getting a photo of the chandelier the first time and went back to snap it. I love the idea of chandeliers on the porch!
Isn’t this space pleasant? It just goes to show that a well chosen color palette and a little style juxtaposition go a long way. Great job!
Simplicity is beautiful, yes?
